I grew up in Fairview, and after graduating from UNC Asheville with degrees in Sociology and K-6 Education, I entered the teaching profession, and taught fourth and fifth grades for Buncombe County Schools. I always wanted to be a teacher and to make a difference. Teaching has always brought me joy. Retiring after 30 years from Fairview Elementary, my next logical step was to hop on over to Trinity of Fairview Academy, where I could not only teach but share the love of Jesus with children as well. Every day is a treasure and those kids keep me laughing all day long. I am blessed to spend my days encouraging and watching amazing little humans learn, grow and wonder, and at the same time I am highly entertained. I sometimes I think to myself, “I can’t believe I get paid to do this!” Kids are just so much fun! I am married to the love of my life, Andy Bennett. We have two grown sons, two dogs and a cat. My hobbies include spending time with friends, reading, and shopping. I am looking forward to another wonderful year at Trinity of Fairview Academy! And Clay Morton, although not a student of mine any longer, is my FAVORITE STUDENT EVER!!!!!
