Uniform Information and Ordering

 

Below are details and ordering information for our school uniforms. Please read the entire document carefully and let us know if you have any questions. This year we ask that all uniforms be purchased through Lands End.

 

SHIRTS/ TOPS/ OUTERWEAR

All students are asked to wear school colored polo shirts with the school logo embroidered on them. These must be ordered from Lands End. They are available in short sleeved or long sleeved, or you can just purchase short sleeved and have your child wear a plain black, white, or gray long sleeved shirt underneath it in colder weather. Boys also have the option of a logoed short or long-sleeved oxford button up, and can wear a bow tie or necktie and a black blazer if they choose. Shirts must be neatly tucked in at all times. Your child can wear any winter jacket or raincoat to and from school and during recess outside, but if they would like to have an option to be warmer in the building during class you must purchase a uniform sweater, sweatshirt or fleece. A plain black fleece with full zipper may be purchased anywhere as long as they look like the ones from Lands End and have no colored piping, other logos or designs, and don’t have hoods. Logoed black, blue, and purple fleece, sweaters, and sweatshirts can be purchased through Lands End. Do not buy blue or purple sweaters or fleece from anywhere other than Lands End as the colors may not match. Personal hoodies, sweaters, jackets, etc. cannot be worn in class.

 

BOTTOMS

We highly suggest that all pants, shorts, jumpers and skirts be purchased from Lands End. If you choose to purchase from somewhere else the bottoms must look just like what is available in our Lands End store. Some important details to keep in mind BEFORE you buy: 1. No cargo pants or shorts 2. Please make sure girls shorts are longer, bermuda style shorts and that jumpers, skirts/scooters are not shorter than 3 finger widths above the knee. If they purchase a skirt that does not have built-in shorts underneath they must wear modesty shorts or black/gray/white tights or leggings with their skirt or jumper.

 

SHOES and ACCESSORIES

1. Shoes can be any style or color EXCEPT no flip flops or slides. We find it is best for students to wear comfortable sneakers or play shoes so they can enjoy running around together at recess. (Also see note about PE shoes below.) If a student chooses to wear dress shoes that are uncomfortable to run in or that may damage the gym floor they may not be able to participate in recess that day, they will not be allowed to play without shoes on for safety reasons.

2. If their pants/shorts have belt loops please have them wear a belt (excluding Kindergarten.) For 2nd grade and up, shirts are to be tucked in at all times.

3. Girls can accessorize with a school color bow or headband if they wish as long as it is not distracting to them or others.

4. Girls may wear small, non-dangly earrings and modest, tasteful necklaces and bracelets as long as they are not distracting to them or others.

5. Hair styles must be modest and non-distracting, no unnatural hair color please. Hair must not be of a length or style that covers their eyes or face.

 

PE CLOTHES

All students must wear sneakers for PE on their designated PE day of the week. If they wear dressy shoes they need to bring secure, tie or velcro sneakers to change into. No slip on sneakers. If they don’t have the proper attire they will not be able to participate in all PE activities that day.
