We currently have 2 Grammar school (K-5th grade) teacher positions open that we are actively hiring for.
Grammar teachers are considered part-time employees, required to be on campus Mondays and Wednesdays and asked to be available during flexible "office hours" on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays when they set aside time to check their phone messages and email and respond to questions parents may have as they are teaching students at home. Teachers are also asked to participate in monthly family service projects (generally on Fridays) where we go out into the community and serve together as a school. You plan the lessons for all 5 days of the week, but you teach the lessons 2 of those days and equip and encourage the parent as he/she teaches the lessons 3 days at home. Teaching at a UM school is a unique experience, as you are truly partnering with parents to educate their children together. (Beginning salary has not been finalized by the Board yet, but will be posted here asap.)
If possible, we ask that teacher applicants attend one of our Information Sessions before applying to ensure you fully understand this model of education and the mission and purpose of the school. Click HERE to see a schedule of upcoming Info Sessions. After that, please take some time to pray before continuing this process. This is not a job, it's a calling. If you truly feel God is calling you to serve in this way, please email the following documents to email@example.com.
